Do you want to make a difference in the world for girls and women but don’t know the first place to start? What if you had the tools, resources, and guidance to host a remarkable event—of any size—that could serve as the catalyst for lasting change in your community?
We are here to empower you to create an event to remember, through screening our documentary film, Women Like Us. Three Journeys. One Mission. To Change the World.
Our film is already being screened throughout the country, and the response has been tremendous. Women everywhere are recognizing the impact women can make through our innate abilities for making a positive change for the world. Whether you are making small steps with children in your neighborhood or big steps through foundations and major impact, the world is better for the work of women. This film offers a way to take action and begin.
Anyone Can Host a Documentary Screening and Make an Impact
One of the key aims of our organization is to ensure that as many people as 
possible understand the problems women and girls face. Women Like Us is a documentary that fleshes out both domestic and international struggles: from homelessness to sexual abuse to lack of access to education—women are being held back from reaching their best selves worldwide.
Whether you are a college student hoping to educate your peers, a woman business executive or a corporate institution who wants to open the eyes of their colleagues, in light of #metoo and #timesup, a founder of a nonprofit or are destined to start your own, Women Like Us wants to help you reach your goals.
Partner with Women Like Us Or Simply Share the Film with Like-Minded Friends and Colleagues.
If you have your own nonprofit or prefer to partner with a local nonprofit you love, you are welcome to utilize our documentary to create awareness and fund raise. The nonprofit/cause will require pre-approval from Women Like Us, however, prior to your moving forward with a screening. On the other hand, you are welcome to join up with Women Like Us as a partner and fund raise for one of the women-led initiatives we are actively supporting. Women Like Us works with nonprofits in the United States and abroad fighting sexual abuse including trafficking, female genital mutilation and domestic violence and harassment; eradicating homelessness; and advocating for gender equality and social justice.
FAQs
I want to show the film and help raise funds for Women Like Us Foundation and its mission. How do I do that?
You can make your screening as large or small as you like. All funds raised can be donated to Women Like Us Foundation via a check or credit card. It is tax deductible and we will be happy to discuss with you further. Contact Us.
What size should my group be to show this film?
Our film can be shown in a home setting with a small group, in a classroom or in a theater as large as IMAX. It depends on you. Some theaters will lease space to you and others will simply split the ticket cost. With the corresponding book it is perfect for a classroom. And, of course, a charitable get together at your own home or office is an intimate way to garner good discussion on the empowerment of women and what we all can do to make a difference in the world.
Thank you. Yes, in the guide kit that you will receive we list ways that you are able to raise funds. All funds go toward grants to support women-led initiatives that are changing the world.
Can I use this film as a fundraiser for another non-profit?
Yes. It’s important that the charity you want to support fits within the guidelines of Women Like Us Foundation, however. Contact Us for approval.
What do you provide to us for the screening?
Once the agreement is signed and we’ve received your funds, we will send 7 days prior to your screening a streaming link to show the documentary or a Blu-Ray DVD.
We also provide the usage of our logo, which is required for each screening and all marketing. As well as an image of the documentary poster for use in your promotions. We only ask that you let us approve your material where our logo and coverThe book that inspired the film, Women Like Us. Together Changing the World to sell at the event or gift to the attendees. photo are used. You are responsible for all of your own event supplies including the venue.
How else can I enhance the film screening?
We offer the following to make your screening a success.
